| Gameplay Recording | Programming | 06-12-2010 |
| Summary: It will be extremely useful for testing purposes if we can record a players play session and play it back in the future for reference. Additionally, the ability to output all the players control input into a comma delineated file for analysis is useful. Difficulty: Hard | ||
| Scripting For Levels | Programming | 06-12-2010 |
| Summary: Designers in the project need an easy way to spawn units, create level data, and create objectives for the player. Without building an elaborate tool, creating a scripting system is the simplest and quickest way to do this. We need it built. Difficulty: Hard - Requires generalized knowledge of the entire codebase and the ability to hook into it. | ||
| Allow Guard Task to be moved | Programming | 06-12-2010 |
| Summary: Currently when the player places a guard task on a single location, units will guard that location until the task is canceled. The player should be able to drag that task around the landscape to change its location, instead of having to cancel the task and place a new one. Difficult: Moderate | ||
| Research: Looping to Specific Times in Soundtrack | Programming | 05-22-2010 |
| Task: We need someone to look and see if Irrklang, the music player library we are using, supporting looping back to specific times in songs. For example, the song would play all the way through, and then restart at 0:30. This is important because some of our music tracks have Intros that would sound strange looped, so we would like the ability to skip over the intros when looping. Difficulty: Easy Length: Short | ||
| Battle Tracks | Music | 05-05-2010 |
| Summary: We need a composer who is able to create several battle tracks in the style of Kung Fu Kingdom. Task Difficulty: Moderate Task Size: Moderate | ||
| Character Rigging | Visual Art | 05-05-2010 |
| Summary: We have several characters and props which need to be rigged. If you do a good enough job, your rig will be used to animate the final character/prop. Even if your rig is not used for the final character, this is a fantastic opportunity to rig professionally modeled characters and props build from the ground up for use in video games. Requirements: Maya 2009-2010. Task Difficulty: High Task Size: Moderate | ||
| Character Animation | Visual Art | 05-05-2010 |
| Summary: We have several characters which are in queue to be professionally animated. If you can get it done first with high enough quality, you'll get your animations in the game. This is a great opportunity, even if you don't believe you are at a high enough skill level to get your animations inside the game - you will get access to a fully rigged model built from the ground up for inclusion in a video game and a chance to animate it. Requirements: Must have Maya 2009 - 2010. Task Difficulty: High Task Size: Small | ||
| Pre-alpha Testing | Programming | 05-05-2010 |
| We need a few patient souls to run Kung Fu Kingdom every time we create a new revision. Their job? To break the game; make it scream for its mother! Task will require the volunteer to install GIT - our version control system, and test the game at least once a week. All bugs found must be properly documented with the steps to reproduce it clearly laid out. Be forewarned - the game is at a state where we are implementing game systems, and is not in the shape of a game yet. Task Difficulty: Moderate Task Size: Small | ||
| Edit Dancing Video | Marketing | 05-05-2010 |

| Task: To model the forge from the concept we have. Details on dev forums. | ||
| Loading Screens | Programming | 02-26-2010 |
| Task: Currently we are programming according to the rules of "Jumpable execution". This requires us to code in a manner that lets us jump straight to any part of the game at any time. This is extremely useful for all sorts of reasons. However, it does preclude traditional loading screens, and so we need to implement a Loading Screen system that works within the Jumpable Execution framework. Difficulty: Medium Additional information available on the development forums. | ||
| Design for Kung Fu Kingdom Dev Page | Web Design | 09-21-2009 |
| Using wordpress is acceptable for the beginning of the project, but Kung Fu Kingdom's development site (www.kungfu-kingdom.com) will eventually need a visual update to make it acceptable to mainstream consumers once we start producing marketable assets. This is a moderately large task, as the website will require a unique design and a content management system built in. This task includes: *The Design of the new page. *The listing of art assets required to construct this new page. *The construction of this page using the assets provided. | ||
